Edgewater Beach Park Fall / Winter Family Photoshoot – Cleveland Family Photographer

This was one of the coldest fall days in Cleveland, and the the day of the first snow. So I thought this was more of a winter family photography session rather than fall, don’t you agree?

The temperature was just above freezing, but the wind coming from Lake Erie was frosty, to say the least. Gotta love Cleveland weather. I love how it does add some uniqueness to the pictures though. And the family hugs just look so warm.

This is actually one of my favorite family photography tips: get the family members to hug, cuddle, hold hands and overall to have as much touch as possible. The portraits end up having so much more life in them.

I totally agreed with the mom and what she said about having her son’s pictures taken: they grow up so fast. Yes, despite approaching snowstorm, it was so worth it to have these memories preserved forever.

I loved working with this little model. They call this age “terrible twos”, but somehow, my favorite pictures are the ones of the two year old boys. They just have so much character, and it really shows in the pictures. They do really grow up so fast. As a mom of an 11 month old boy, I feel it. Looking back at his pictures just few months back, I can see a huge difference. Photography really does help you preserve the fleeting moments.

I know that winter is a slow season for photographers. But it is such a shame. In my opinion, cold temperatures and the snow, make the warm and cozy family love really pop in the pictures. Hit me up if you would like to schedule a family photography session.
