Family Photography in Cleveland, Daffodil Hill

Hi! I am a family and children’s photographer in Cleveland, Ohio. Spring is probably my favorite time of year in Cleveland. I love the time when the whole city is in bloom (which can possibly be followed by a snowstorm, who knows?). While cherry blossoms are extremely popular for spring family pictures, I thought of doing something else this time.

This year I decided to take my family to Daffodil Hill for some family portraits. While I absolutely love photographing everyone and everything around me, I have a very few pictures of myself. So decided to put a stop to it and get some self-portraits done.

I totally get how self-portraits can be super awkward, especially in public. So I picked an afternoon evening, right around dinner time, so the crowds are not so big. I brought my travel tripod, interval shooting remote, and my camera. We picked a nice hill in bloom with a nice backlight, and it only took me a minute or two to set up. No side-eyes were noticed 🙂

It was fun and quick. I had a mood board with some poses I wanted to shoot, and the little one was cooperative.

We had a nice walk afterwards. I love combining photography sessions with something the whole family can enjoy, as often husbands and the little ones are not as into it as the moms.

Family portraits at a park (especially as beautiful as Daffodil Hill when the daffodils are in full bloom) offer a wonderful way to capture precious moments and create lasting memories. They give you an opportunity to capture meaningful moments and create memories that will be treasured for a lifetime. So, gather your loved ones, embrace the park’s enchanting backdrop, and lets capture these memories together, or shoot some self portraits, and let me know how it goes!
