Family Photoshoot at Acacia Reservation – Cleveland Family Photographer

Ahh I love looking back at this session. There was just so much love in the air. As a boy mom, who’s been dreaming about adding a little sister to our family, this session made me change my mind. The bond these two little brothers had me thinking “hm maybe another boy wouldn’t be so bad”.

It just brings me so much joy photographing children: to see their character and personality unravel in front of my camera lens. I love watching them warming up to the camera, even if at first they were unsure about this whole photoshoot idea. 🙂 Out of all photography genres I am so happy with my decision to call myself a family photographer.

We shot this session in full sun, which normally would be a photography nightmare. But it worked out to our advantage. The kids were nice and warm on a fall day, and placing the models in the shadow made the light conditions just perfect. I love how the sunny background reflects the sunny personality of this family and totally matches the mood of these lifestyle portraits.

The kids (and I believe the parents) had lots of fun playing with the leaves. I love how it really adds life to the pictures. Instead of static portraits, we capture a sweet fleeting memory of one fall day filled with laughter and love.

Can we also address the obvious? The baby is just the smiliest happiest little kid. 6 month olds can be hit or miss when it comes to baby photography. And it’s okay, you really want to save the memories of you child for who they really are. If they are serious or a little grumpy, that’ ok! That’s exactly what you will remember looking back at you family pictures in the future. But in this case, the baby’s personality was just a win-win: can I just say – adorable!!
